PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how the RanchAssist™ Sprayer Calculator ("Sprayer Calculator," "RanchAssist," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Sprayer Calculator at https://sprayercalculator.ranchassist.com or an equivalent RanchAssist-hosted deployment.

This policy is written for the current standalone Sprayer Calculator architecture. If the product later adds materially different analytics, advertising, account, cloud-storage, payment, or third-party integration features, this policy should be updated before or when those features are introduced.

1. SUMMARY

Sprayer Calculator is designed as a session-first, no-account utility.

In the standard calculator workflow:

- You do not need to create a RanchAssist account.

- RanchAssist does not create a permanent cloud project record merely because you use the calculator.

- Active-session recovery may use browser sessionStorage.

- Long-term save/resume uses a RanchAssist .ra project file that you choose to save to your own device.

- The calculator does not use localStorage as a substitute for permanent RanchAssist project storage.

- You control whether to export, save, print, copy, or email project information.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER

Depending on how you use the calculator, you may enter information such as:

- Project name

- Field acres

- Target spray volume (GPA)

- Tank capacity

- Product names

- User-entered product rates and rate units

- Product container sizes and prices

- Boom width

- Nozzle spacing and count

- Travel speed

- Nozzle flow

- Catch-test volume and time

- Labor, equipment, carrier, fuel/operating, and other cost inputs

- Notes

You decide what information to enter.

RanchAssist does not need your pesticide product choice or product rate in order to recommend an application because Sprayer Calculator does not provide product or rate recommendations. Any product/rate information entered is used to perform the calculations you request.

3. ACTIVE-SESSION STORAGE

Sprayer Calculator may use sessionStorage in your browser to protect active work from an accidental refresh, same-tab navigation, or similar interruption during the current browser session.

sessionStorage is not presented as permanent project saving.

Clear Session / Start Over is designed to clear the active RanchAssist project state for the current browser session.

4. RANCHASSIST .RA PROJECT FILES

Sprayer Calculator supports RanchAssist .ra project files for user-controlled save and resume.

When you choose Save Project:

- The application serializes the editable project state into a .ra file.

- The file is saved/downloaded through your browser or device.

- The saved file remains under your control.

A Sprayer Calculator .ra file may include:

- Project UUID and project name

- Tool and project-file version metadata

- Creation and last-saved timestamps

- Mode

- Field inputs

- Tank inputs

- Product rows

- Calibration inputs

- Cost inputs

- Notes

- Other state needed to reconstruct the editable project

The standard .ra workflow does not mean RanchAssist is storing a permanent cloud copy of that project.

Review a .ra file before sharing it with another person because it may contain the project details you entered.

5. EXPORTS

You may choose to create or use outputs such as:

- Print / PDF

- CSV

- Copy Summary

- Email Summary

- RanchAssist .ra project file

These exports are created because you requested them. Once an export is saved, copied, printed, or sent, its handling depends on the device, application, recipient, storage location, email system, or other service you choose.

6. EMAIL SHARING

In the Google Apps Script deployment, Sprayer Calculator may use Google Apps Script MailApp to send a project summary when you explicitly request email sharing.

To send the email, the system must process:

- The recipient email address you provide

- The summary content you choose to send

- Technical information necessary to complete the send request

Do not use Email Summary for information you do not intend to transmit to the recipient and the email infrastructure involved in delivery.

The standalone static HTML version may use the device's normal email workflow rather than Apps Script MailApp.

7. PROJECT FILE SECURITY

RanchAssist .ra files are data files, not executable files.

The standard importer is designed to:

- Parse project data

- Validate that the file is a RanchAssist project

- Validate the originating tool and supported format

- Reject incompatible, incomplete, or malformed project files

- Restore source inputs and recalculate derived values

The project-file format is not intended to contain private API keys, passwords, authentication tokens, or executable JavaScript.

8. API KEYS AND DEVELOPER CREDENTIALS

The current Sprayer Calculator does not require Mapbox or a private third-party API for its core calculation workflow.

You should never be asked to provide a developer API key, Mapbox token, secret key, OAuth token, or similar infrastructure credential as part of normal Sprayer Calculator use.

If future external services are introduced, administrator/deployment credentials should be handled separately from your project data and should not be stored in .ra project files, CSV exports, print/PDF output, or browser project storage.

9. TECHNICAL AND HOSTING INFORMATION

Like most web applications, the browser, network, hosting platform, and service providers involved in delivering the site may process standard technical information necessary to serve requests, maintain security, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, or operate the service.

This may include information such as:

- IP address

- Browser/user-agent information

- Request timestamps

- Referrer information

- Device or operating-system information

- Server or application logs

The precise technical information processed by a hosting or email provider may depend on the deployment and that provider's own systems and policies.

10. COOKIES, LOCAL STORAGE, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Sprayer Calculator does not use localStorage as the standard mechanism for permanent RanchAssist project saving.

The standard calculator workflow may use sessionStorage for active-session resilience.

A hosting platform or future optional service may use cookies or similar technologies for its own operational, security, or feature purposes. If RanchAssist later introduces analytics, advertising, account, or other features that materially change tracking or cookie use, the applicable disclosures should be updated.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The current Google Apps Script deployment may rely on Google services to host/execute the web app and to send requested email summaries through MailApp.

If you use browser functions such as printing, saving a PDF, downloading a file, or opening an email client, those functions are also subject to the software and services you choose.

RanchAssist is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that are outside RanchAssist's control. Review the policies of those services when appropriate.

12. NO ACCOUNT PROFILE

The standard standalone Sprayer Calculator does not require a RanchAssist user account.

Accordingly, the calculator is not designed to build a permanent account-level project history from normal calculator use.

13. CHILDREN

Sprayer Calculator is intended as a working agricultural planning utility and is not directed to children. Do not use the service in a way that requires collecting personal information from a child without the permissions and safeguards required by applicable law.

14. DATA RETENTION

RanchAssist does not promise permanent server-side retention of standalone Sprayer Calculator project data.

Your active browser-session state is intended to be temporary.

You are responsible for retaining any .ra project files, PDFs, CSVs, printed reports, copied summaries, or other files you want to keep.

Email systems and hosting providers may retain technical information according to their own operational practices, legal obligations, and policies.

15. SECURITY

We use product-design measures intended to reduce unnecessary project persistence and credential exposure, including:

- No required account for the standard tool

- Session-first project handling

- User-controlled .ra project files

- Validation of imported project files

- Separation of application credentials from project state

- No intended executable code in .ra project files

No website, device, network, browser, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect project files and exports according to the sensitivity of the information you place in them.

16. YOUR CHOICES

You can:

- Choose what project information to enter

- Clear the active session

- Save or not save a .ra project file

- Delete saved files from your own device

- Choose whether to export, print, copy, or email a summary

- Choose whether to share a saved project or report with another person

17. PESTICIDE / HERBICIDE INFORMATION

Sprayer Calculator is not a pesticide recommendation system.

Product names, rates, and related application values that you enter are used to perform the calculations you request. RanchAssist does not use those entries to replace the product label or determine whether an application is legal, safe, compatible, effective, or appropriate.

18. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, law, hosting arrangement, or data practices change. The "Last updated" date should be revised when material changes are published.
